Meet Cindy Vann
Author. Advocate. Light in the Shadows.
Cindy Vann is a widow, mother, grandmother, and a woman whose story rewrites the meaning of redemption.
Once wrongfully imprisoned after taking the fall for decisions made by those in power, Cindy found herself in the darkest chapter of her life. But even there, grace met her. Behind bars, she crossed paths with the man who would change her life: Phil, a Vietnam veteran battling invisible wounds from war. What began as an unlikely connection became a sacred mission. Cindy walked beside Phil as he fought through the trauma of PTSD and helped him get the healing no one else had made possible.
That journey didn’t just save him, it awakened her purpose.
Since Phil’s passing, Cindy has turned their story into a movement of hope. Her memoir, PTSD: Passing Through Shadows of Death, has touched lives across the country and is currently in development as a major motion picture with an Academy Award–winning producer attached.
But Cindy is more than a survivor and more than a storyteller.
She is:
A faith-filled author, whose words have brought clarity to the unseen battles many face
A passionate speaker, igniting audiences with her raw testimony and unfiltered truth
A relentless advocate for veterans, families, and anyone who feels forgotten
A walking testament that no one is too far gone for healing
Originally from New Jersey, Cindy now calls Texas home—where her heart, faith, and impact just keep growing.
